Mr. Cornwall Elihu Kirkpatrick V, "Sean", 47, of Newnan, passed away Friday, September 15th, 2023. Sean was born July 30th, 1976, in San Jose, California to Cornwall Elihu Kirkpatrick IV, "Butch", and Linda Kirkpatrick. Sean is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Cornwall Elihu Kirkpatrick III and Ruth Kirkpatrick, and maternal grandparents R. Floyd Skidmore and Margaret Skidmore. Sean grew up in Newnan, GA, and graduated from East Coweta High School in 1994. Following high school, he attended Georgia State University. Sean was passionate and outgoing, making him very easy to love. Among his passions were music, food, his family, and his love for the Lord. As an adult, he and Carol Gowan opened "Cornwall's", a seafood restaurant in Bainbridge, GA. Later, he went on to pursue his love for making music at a music and arts college in Atlanta. Sean recognized his talents were gifts from the Lord, and in turn, gave them back by leading worship at Celebrate Recovery at Sonrise Baptist Church where he attended church at the time. In 2022, he proudly joined his older brother, Mike Chavez, in running "Biscuits & Burritos", Mike's food truck. Sean most recently attended Newnan City Church where he was a proud member of the choir. Sean's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon at Newnan City Church, 17 First Avenue, Newnan, with Pastor Jimmy Ellison officiating. The visitation is Friday, September 22nd at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan, between 5:00 and 7:00 o'clock in the evening. Sean is survived by his parents, Cornwall Elihu Kirkpatrick IV, "Butch", and Linda Kirkpatrick, brothers Rick Chavez (Kristy), Mike Chavez (Lynn), David Kirkpatrick (Tara), Kristoffer Kirkpatrick (Nick), Tim Kirkpatrick (Brittany), sister Britt Brown, nieces and nephews Andrea Chavez, Cameron Chavez Barrett (Rob), AnnaLisa Chavez, Michael Chavez, Amelia Chavez, Emma Brown, Ryker Skolness, Canon Skolness, Evan Ripley, Nora Ripley, Macy Kirkpatrick, two great nieces and one great nephew.
