“You do the best you can, and go on.” Elizabeth White Sutton Hatfield 1925-2017 Mrs. Elizabeth White Sutton Hatfield, 92 of Newnan, GA, formerly of Williamson, WV passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Elizabeth “Lib”, was a caring and giving woman beginning at a very young age as the third child of 10 children born to the late Elmer White & Hollie Connolly White. Her caring and giving extended throughout her life for her son, her siblings, 16 nieces and nephews, her parents, and her husband. She moved to Newnan, Georgia in 2013 to be close to her son where she lived at Wesley Woods of Newnan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Estil Hatfield, siblings, Laura White, Columbia Bryant, Elsie White, Howard White, George White. After graduating from Chatteroy High School, this young woman boarded a train leaving the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia for Washington DC. She worked for the FBI in Washington DC through the end of WWII. From Washington DC, to Saint Louis, then returning to West Virginia, she became a certified LPN and X-Ray technician and worked for most of her careen for Dr. Andrew Henderson of Williamson. She retired from Williamson Memorial Hospital after working past age 70, as a Manager of Hospital Services, Linens, and Sterilization. A private committal service for family and friends is Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Haralson United Methodist Church Cemetery, Haralson, GA. A memorial service will also be held in Williamson, WV at a date to be determined.
