Eric Alan Bowen January 11,1976 - December 1,2025 After a life of providing service with kindness, character and integrity Eric entered the presence of the Lord, while at home on December 1,2025, at the age of 49. Survivors include his wife of 18years, April Lynn Bowen; his son Gavin Reid Bowen; his daughter Brooke Marie Bowen and his mother Susan Marie Bowen; all residing in Moreland; his uncle Terry Lee (Jane) Bowen; four cousins, Bret, Kevin, Chrissy (Dave) Mathews, and Roxanne (Chris) Accetta. Preceded in death by his father a short five months ago, Melvin John Bowen, grandparents; Mildred/Alfred Martignetti and Elizabeth/Thomas Bowen Sr., his aunt/Godmother Theresa Isabelle Martignetti, his uncle/Godfather Raymond Martignetti and his uncle Thomas Bowen Jr. Eric was born and raised for most of his childhood in Hollywood, Florida. Moved and graduated from Cocke County High School in Newport, Tennessee where he enjoyed an athletes dream with friends and football. He studied pre-law at ETSU and was a member of SigmaPhiEpsilon. With his family he relocated to Coweta County in 1996, where proudly and courageously he wore the uniform of the "Blue" for both Newnan PD and Coweta County Sherriff Department as a Deputy. This foundational journey set the stage for the pursuit of leadership as a general contractor and a Newnan businessman, launching Five Star Renovations, Inc. doing business for the past 25 years. The FS team has transitioned from the test of time, adjusting to meet the changing immediate needs of the community to Restore and Rebuild after Emergency situations, or Remodel one home/business at a time. The company's dedication commits to continuing to serve clients while optimizing current and future organizational strengths to outreach and serve the State of Georgia. A deeply genuine and steadfast faith/love of God guided Erics life with his wife and children constantly central to his existence and contributing to the man he is. He cherished time and tradition spent with family and friends while sharing stories, laughter, and lessons learned from an active well-lived life. His smile and laughter were always loud and heard, while contagiously filling a room with excitement and love. Erics outgoing personality knew no stranger. He routinely disregarded his own needs, to provide an immediate helping hand to those in stressful times of need. His character, integrity, talent and creativity are validated by the outcry of young students and professionals paying tribute to him for touching their lives and promoting their success. Whether you knew him as a hardworking professional, or a dependable neighbor Eric, left an impression with his passionate demeanor. He approached life with a selfless desire to make a positive footprint on the path of life he traveled, never seeking attention, but always showing up when it mattered most for anyone who he witnessed might require a helping hand. The Funeral Mass is Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 3 Village Road, in Newnan, with Father Henry Atem officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until service time at the church. Following the service the family invites friends to 2161 Bear Creek Road, Moreland, GA 30259.
