James "Jimmy" Dudley Richardson, 88, of Newnan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, joy, and service. Born in Bibb County, Georgia, to the late James Dudley Richardson Sr. and Martha Sheppard Richardson, Jimmy embraced life with boundless energy and a generous spirit that touched everyone he met. Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife of over 32 years, Jeanelle Richardson, whose partnership brought joy and adventure to his life. He was a proud and loving father to his children: Salena A. Brantley (Billy), Kevin L. Allen (Lisa), Joseph H. Allen III (Edna), Rodney L. Allen Sr. (Marie), Darlene R. Churchill (Jimmy) and son-in-law Tony Stepp. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Stepp. Jimmy's legacy lives on through his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored deeply. A man of unwavering faith, Jimmy loved his church deeply. Singing in the church choir was one of his greatest passions, a love that will be evident in the music shared during his service. He found great joy in worshiping through song and uplifting others with his voice. Jimmy proudly served his community for 33 years as Postmaster of Warner Robins, Georgia, leaving a legacy of dedication and leadership through his career with the U.S. Postal Service. Beyond his professional life, he devoted himself to mentoring youth, spending many fulfilling years in Macon coaching bowling and umpiring baseball. His passion for guiding and encouraging young athletes left a lasting impact on countless lives, shaping futures and fostering a love for sportsmanship. After retirement, Jimmy embraced an active lifestyle, spending 11 wonderful years in The Villages, Florida. There, he pursued square dancing, clowning, golf, and theatre, making every moment a celebration of life. In 2002, he and Jeanelle settled in Newnan, Georgia, to be closer to family, a decision that brought him great joy. Jimmy's adventurous spirit led him to travel extensively across the country, sharing unforgettable trips with friends and creating cherished memories with his grandchildren. Jimmy lived life to the fullest, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His kind soul, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
