Lynn Elaine Sweet

Mrs. Lynn Adams Sweet Mrs. Lynn Adams Sweet, 45, passed away Sept. 10, 2005 at her home following an illness. She was the daughter of Charlie and Jeanene Adams of Cleveland, Ga., and the daughter-in-law of Richard and Louise Sweet of Atlanta. She was the granddaughter of the late Wayne Brown and Elizabeth Brown of Riverdale and the late Joseph and Myrtice Adams of Newnan. She graduated from Newnan High School and attended Mars Hill College and Georgia College in Milledgeville. She received a B.S. degree in marketing and art from West Georgia College. Lynn was a member of First Baptist Church of Newnan and served as PLACE facilitator, assisting others in finding the best use of their gifts in the church. As a member of The Walking in Joy leadership team, she formatted the Bible study lessons and served as a group leader and a teacher. Her spiritual walk was a daily quest for knowledge of God, and she encouraged others to know Him. Lynn was a loving wife and mother -- devoted to serving God and dedicated to her family. She is survived by her husband Tommy Sweet; children, Caitlyn and Will; parents and parents-in-law; sisters, Debbie (Mrs. Stan) Lanier of Newnan, Kelly (Mrs. Michael) Hintz of Fayetteville; brother, Joseph Adams II and wife Stacey of Atlanta; brother-in-law, Bobby Sweet and wife Barbara of Roswell; nieces, Emily and Natalie Hintz; Whitney, Mallory and Ansley Sweet; nephews, Jay and Charlie Lanier. Funeral services are being conducted by McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street in Newnan, where the family is receiving friends on Monday and Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. at Newnan First Baptist Church at the corner of West Washington and Brown Streets. Dr. Gene Tyre will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Lynn's memory to either Angel's House, P.O.
