Roberta Dean Hanvey

Roberta Dean Walker Hanvey, 66, died January 24, 2011, with her family by her side in Carrollton, Georgia. She was born January 1, 1945, in Newnan, Georgia to Rev. Roscoe & Mrs. Roberta Walker. She loved gospel music especially listening to her daughter Tina Addison. She loved to socialize with her family and close friends. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church since the early 1970’s. Her prized riches were her grandchildren whom she loved with all her soul. Dean is survived by her three daughters: Dorothy (Dotty) Zwayyed, Lisa Walker Plunkett & Tina Walker Addison; her two son-in-laws: Saleem Zwayyed & Chris Addison; her seven grandchildren: Nicole Zwayyed, Zach Zwayyed, Daniel Plunkett, Meghan Plunkett, Courtland Addison, Camden Addison & Aidan Addison; her sister & brother-in-law: Vesta & Rev. Caryl Martinez; her brother & sister-in-law: Rev. James Darry & Anne Walker: and her life-long friend (sister) Jackie Camp Plunkett. She was preceded in death by her father the Rev. James Roscoe Walker, her mother Izora Roberta Walker, her brother Teddy Leo Walker and her husband George Washington Hanvey. The Memorial Graveside Service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Arrangements are planned with McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan, GA. The Rev. Wayne Webb of Carrollton, GA will officiate. Honorary Paul Bearers are: Camden Addison, Daniel Plunkett, Zach Zwayyed and Courtland Addison. Paul Bearers are Saleem Zwayyed, Chris Addison, Darry Walker Jr., Rev. Caryl Martinez, Ken Plunkett and Udell Addison. Our precious mother suffered daily from her disability and we wanted to share this thought with everyone who had the opportunity to know her.
