Robyn Faulkner

Robyn Hand Faulkner was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, wife, daughter, aunt and friend whose strength, courage, and love defined her life. She passed away peacefully after a brave battle with kidney cancer at the age of 67, surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others. Robyn is survived by her daughter, Tori Hand Smith (Brad Smith); grandchildren Owen Smith, Hilary Smith Fluegeman (Stephen Fluegeman), and Katy Smith; and great-grandchildren Opal Margaret Fluegeman and Grayson Bennett. She is also survived by her siblings, Terry Andrews and family, and Melinda Garland (Tommy Garland) and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Faulkner; her parents, Martha and Waymon Hand; and her great-granddaughter, Emersyn Artz. Robyn was the youngest of three sisters and though life often pulled them in different directions, the bond of family was always indestructible. She forged her own path with determination and resilience, building a life rooted in hard work, perseverance, and love. Robyn was known for her fearless spirit. She was strong, tenacious, and fiercely loving, never afraid to stand up for what she believed in. Throughout her career, she committed her life and all of her efforts to ensuring she reached every goal, because she knew that no matter what, she would deliver. She started at the bottom and diligently worked her way up to achieve all that she ultimately accomplished. She dedicated herself to Marvin F. Poer for 35 years until her retirement and built a wonderful network of "work family" that she truly adored. Robyn married Al Faulkner, though their time together was cut short by Al's passing, the love they shared was endless. Her greatest joy in life is her family & love ones. She always wanted to watch everyone else live, grow and enjoy life. Always ready to liven up any party and always ready to play a hand of cards. Robyn's life was a powerful reminder that time is precious. Though her passing came too soon, her legacy of faith, strength, and love will live on in all who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now with Jesus, healed and whole. Robyn will be deeply missed and forever remembered. The funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan, with Dr. Jimmy Ellison officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 656 Roscoe Road, in Newnan.
