Sharon Kathleen Darrow

Sharon "Shari" Kathleen Griffin Darrow, 54, of Newnan, formerly of Pesotum, Illinois, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at home. She was born January 14, 1969 in Bloomington, Illinois to Kenneth L Griffin and Lea Ann Weidinger Griffin. She was the oldest of two children. Shari grew up in Pesotum, Illinois and was a 1987 graduate of Tolono Unity High School. She was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University where she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. She received a degree in Finance and Economics. She took a job in Pekin, Illinois where she met Marc Darrow. They married in 1996. They relocated to Newnan, Georgia when her company moved their office. In Dec 1998, they welcomed Ethan Michael to their family. Their family expanded in Apr 2003 with the arrival of Jordan Elizabeth. Sadly, they divorced in 2011. Shari was a devoted and loving mother. She loved photographing her children and their activities. She was an avid scrapbooker. She produced many intricate and artistic albums which she leaves to her children. Shari loved baseball, was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and any team that Ethan was playing for. Shari was a supporter of whichever sport her children participated, was in attendance and took many of the team pictures. Shari was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her roots have been traced back to Charlemagne and she delighted in the fact that she could be called "Princess". A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 25th at SouthCrest Church, 365 International Park, Newnan. Visitation will take place from 10-11. The service will begin at 11 o'clock.
