Clinton Huling

August 30, 1943 - December 26, 2020

Clinton Huling, 77, was born on August 30, 1943 to the late Leonard Huling, Jr. and Olphelia Partridge in Newnan, Georgia. Clinton grew up in the Roscoe and Northside Communities, and received his education in the Coweta County School System. He was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Clinton was united in Holy matrimony to Myrtice Hart on Saturday, August 29, 1970. They had been married for 50 loving years. To this union two children were added, George Leonard (Lenny) Huling and Jennifer Elizabeth Huling. Clint was a hard worker. He worked at McKoon Funeral Home under the original owner, then construction, later at Playtex where he earned the nickname “Lightning”. He returned back to McKoon Funeral Home and finished his working career there until his health prevented him from working. He loved playing basketball when he was younger, shooting pool, dressing up in his suits, fishing with his family and friends and enjoying his “Redman” tobacco. Clinton Huling was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Huling, Jr. and Olphelia Partridge; brothers; his twin, Quinton, John Maddox and Ronald Arnold; sister, Pamela Partridge; stepmother, Velma Huling; son, Lee (Nemo) Henderson. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Myrtice H. Huling; 2 children, Leonard (Shannon) Huling and Jennifer Elizabeth Huling; 5 grandchildren, Jamal Larenz Huling, Ashlee Nikkol Davis, Alexis Nakira Huling, Jameela Elyse Britt and Jamara Mychele Byrom; 3 great grandchildren, Civannah Brace Cammon, Grayson Davis Cammon and Kiana Raelyn-Huling Bess; 6 sisters, Sarah Shields, Joan (Eugene) Taylor, Shirley Maddox, Martha Taylor, Ruby Maddox, Myra Partridge (Leroy Robinson) and 2 brothers, Willie Henry (Geraldine) Huling and Michael (Lisa) Partridge; aunts, Hattie Smith, Murray Carter, Gennell Geter and Christola Partridge and a host of friends and relatives. Clint was a family man, hard worker and overall friend to everyone he’d meet. His jovial spirt and friendly presence will always be remembered. You said goodbye to no one Your stay on earth was done, The blow was hard, The shock severe, We never thought your time was so near, It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone, For parts of us went with you To rest in your Heavenly home.
