Glenda Wilson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Glenda Lee Wilson, 82, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on July 11, 2022 at her home. She was born on February 24, 1940 in Gadsden, AL., the daughter of J.D. and Sara Lee. Glenda married Howard Wilson and resided in Fayetteville, GA where they raised their children and later settled in Moreland, GA. Glenda and Howard recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Glenda was a home maker for most of her life spending her time studying God's word, teaching Sunday school at her church, First Baptist Church of Moreland where she was also the head of the hostess committee for many years and surrounding herself with her loving family. She enjoyed traveling, baking, crafting, and everything Christmas. Her grandchildren and great grands brought her so much joy. She lived a beautiful life and leaves behind such a legacy of love. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Leta Ann Gunter. She is survived by, in addition to her husband, Howard Wilson, her daughter, Robin Henley and her husband Jimmy of Fayetteville, her son Kevin Wilson and his fiancé Lisa Freeland of Fort Walton, FL., her daughter Selena Long and her husband Matt of Newnan. Her grandchildren Zach Henley and his wife Lauren, Josh Henley and his wife Elise, Hannah Brook and her husband Cody, Haley Willingham and her husband Chris, Jonah Long and his wife Amber, Brenna Henley and her fiancé Devin, and Austin Wilson. Her great grandchildren Annabelle, Cole, Ryder, Grace, Remi Gray, Oliver, Jolie, and Carter Jade. Her brother, Jack Lee and his wife Faye of Versailles, KY. The funeral is 12 Noon Friday, July 15, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Moreland with Rev. Todd Slade officiating. Interment will follow at Southview Cemetery in Moreland.
