Harriet Berman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Harriet A. Berman, age 80, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2022. She was born in Denmark, S.C. on January 26, 1942, to the late Paul G. "Pete" Andrews and Oneal Helms Andrews. Harriet worked for AT&T for 26 years in the Administrative Services Department. After retirement, she lived in Ellijay, GA, for over 25 years, where she was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church. Harriet was also an active member of the Ellijay Lions Club, where she participated in various service activities, such as Special Friends, White Christmas, and the Apple Festival every year. She was also a member of the Apple Country Quilt Guild. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Due to health reasons, she had moved to Newnan, GA to be close to her children and grandchildren. Harriet is survived by her wonderful children: Greg Dailey (Donna) of Whitesburg, GA, Michelle Padgett (Ed) of Jackson, GA; her brother Larry Andrews (Connie) Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Christy Martin (Shane), Cody Cooper (Nicole), Nicky Stacey (Thad), Haley Richardson (Royce); great grandchildren: Kolton, Finleigh, and Fischer Martin, Ava Stacey, Jaymes Richardson and nephew David Andrews. Those we love don't go away; they fly beside us every day. The memorial service celebrating the life Harriet lived is Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan GA, with David Smedley officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time on Satruday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Harriet has requested that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Hope Lutheran Church Building Fund, 3295 Old Hwy 5 South, Ellijay, GA 30540.
