Harry Ted Cofield

Harry "Ted" Cofield, age 97, passed away peacefuly on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Sacred Journey Hospice in Newnan, surrounded by his family. Ted was born on October 8, 1924, in Bowdon, GA to the late Thomas Hayden Cofield and Maudie Walls Cofield. Along with his parents, Ted is preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Long Cofield and siblings, Aves Cofield Hayes, J.T. Cofield, Emmett Cofield and Nina Cofield Ashley. He is survived by his children, Harriet Steele (Doyle), Debbie Gore (Ronnie), Cindy Mathers (Joe), Nancy Warren (Mark), Thomas Cofield (Donna) and Laurie Ford (Steve). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and his sister, Annie Cofield Robison. The graveside service celebrating the life Ted lived is Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Oak Hill Cemetery, in Newnan with Rev. Tim Stitcher officiating .Ted was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving in W.W.II and military honors will be rendered at the cemetery.
