Judith Martinez Warr

October 23, 1942 - February 8, 2022

Judith Estelle Martinez Warr stepped into eternity early in the morning of February 8, 2022, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born October 23, 1942, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Carlton Lawrence Martinez and Dorothy Louise Wood Martinez. What most characterized her life was her love for her Savior Jesus, her beloved husband of 55 years, Ron Warr, who predeceased her, her love for her family and friends, and the hundreds of children whose lives she touched over a 35-year teaching career. She is survived by her children, Pamela Warr Henson (Kerry) of Newnan, Georgia, and Ronald Lowell Warr II (Susan) of Saucier, Mississippi; grandchildren, Misty Chavers (John), Jason Davis (Amanda), Jacob Davis (Amber), Alex Elliott, Ashley Warr, James Warr (Nicole), Andrew Warr, Ashley Evans (Brantley), and Justin Henson; great-grandchildren, Noah Chavers, Samuel Evans, and Isabella Evans; brothers Al Martinez (Sandy) and David Martinez (Susan); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, Thursday, February 10, 2022, at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, Georgia. The funeral will take place on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 11:00AM in the chapel of the funeral home, with Rev. Kendall Heinzel officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 656 Roscoe Road, Newnan, Georgia.
