Sherri Lynn Jordan

October 4, 1976 - January 11, 2022

Sherri Lynn Jordan, 45, of Newnan, GA passed away peacefully at her home in the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Her husband, Chris, her dog, Daisy, and her cat, Duke, were nearby. She was born on October 4, 1976, in Newnan to the late Charles E. Costley, Sr and the late Vickie Bishop Costley. Sherri grew up in Newnan, GA and was educated in the Newnan School System. She was a member of the Newnan High School Class of 1995. After high school, Sherri was a housewife, mother, and worked locally in Newnan. She worked at Belk's Department Store as a sales representative for 2 years, Freeman's Jewelry Store as a sales representative for 2 years, Golden's Restaurant as a greeter and server for 2 years, and at Beck as a supervisor for 3 years. Sherri also earned her degree from the Culinary Arts School of Baking and Cake Decorating. Everywhere Sherri worked, she was known for her big smile, willingness to help the customer, her attention to detail and her ability to always accomplish the task at hand. As a housewife and mother, Sherri was most proud of her 2 children, Christopher, and Katie. She loved them with all her heart. They were her pride and joy, and she was always bragging about their accomplishments. Her face lit up every time she would talk about Christopher graduating with a Physics degree from Georgia State University and working for the Environmental Protection Division as a chemical and material analyst and when Katie completed her advanced training as a dental assistant and now working at a local Newnan dentist office as a dental assistant. She was especially proud and looking forward to the birth of her grandson by her daughter Katie. Her husband of 14 years, Chris Prado, was the love of her life. She loved Chris with all of her heart. She was devoted to him, and he was her everything. Sherri always boasted about how fortunate and blessed she was to have Chris as her husband. She always said he was hard working, loving, and a wonderful provider. Sherri loved her brothers, Chuck, and Max. She would tell stories of happy times growing up with both of them and about how they would all take care of each other. She always enjoyed visiting Max, his wife, Heather, and especially the fun times with her nephew, Logan and niece, Scarlett. Sherri was a kind, loving, and giving lady. She loved people and everyone loved Sherri. She was a devout Christian lady and believed in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a lover of animals, and loved her dogs, Rascal and Daisy, and her cat, Duke. Visitation is Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 3:00 PM followed by the funeral ceremony at 4:00 PM at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA with Dr. Joel Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, GA. A celebration of life dinner will follow the burial at Christy's Café, 27 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA. The ladies of Christy's Café are hosting the dinner. Rather than flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to ASPCA at www.joinaspca.org.
