Betty Ann Brown

Betty Robertson Brown, age 89, of Luthersville, GA passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 28, 2019 surround by her loving family. She was born on November 29, 1929 in Pompano Beach Florida, the daughter of Samuel & Christine Robertson of Raymond Georgia. Betty graduated from Pompano Beach High School in 1947. She married Ralph Moye Brown on June 12, 1949. They moved to Luthersville, GA in 1976. Betty became a loving mother on May 4, 1950. She raised 7 children throughout the years. She was a member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church in Sharpsburg GA. She liked to cook, bake, sew and crochet. She especially enjoyed cake decorating, gardening, and collecting antique teapots, rolling pins and miscellaneous items. Her cows held a special place in her heart!!! She became a grandmother, aka “Grammy”, on September 21, 1970, a great grandmother on January 8, 1994 and a great-great grandmother on January 6, 2015. Betty loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Brown and her son Gary Brown, both of Luthersville. Betty is survived by her son, Ronald Brown (wife Paula) of Luthersville, daughter, Patsy Foy (husband Dave) of Deerfield Beach Florida, Gary’s wife Sandra Brown of Luthersville, son, David Brown (wife Mary) of Gay , daughter, Lory Anderson of Luthersville , daughter, Beth Shallenberger (husband Mike) of Gay, and daughter, Kristin Murray (husband Chris) of Luthersville; Eleven Grandchildren: Audrey Anglin, Darrell Brown (wife Amanda), Tobi Aycock, (husband James), Troy Wheaton (wife Kim), Matthew Brown (wife Ruth), Emily Riley (husband Brendan), Josh Anderson, Holly Anderson, Remington Shallenberger, Kyle Murray and Dylan Murray; Twelve Great Grandchildren: Sydni Anglin, Abbie Anglin, Jakob Anglin, Andrew Brown, Luke Brown, Lane Brown, Zoe Aycock, Wyatt Aycock, Erin Wheaton, Levi Durham, Lily Kate Durham and Davis Durham. One Great-Great Grandchild: Sophia Powell. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home 38 Jackson St. Newnan, GA with Rev. Dan Dixon officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at McKoon Funeral Home.
