Debbie Anne Rhodes, 72, of Newnan, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 12, 2026. Debbie was a sweet, gentle, and loving soul whose life was centered around her faith and family. Affectionately known as "Sitty" by her grandchildren, she loved her children and grandchildren beyond measure. Nothing brought her more happiness than having her family close, caring for them, cooking for them, and simply sharing life with them. Family traditions held a special place in Debbie's heart. From the time she was young, Sundays meant going to church and then gathering at her Sitty's house for dinner. Debbie's cousins were more than relatives; they were some of her closest and dearest friends. The bonds formed during childhood never faded. Sitty treasured every opportunity to support her grandchildren. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines at a sporting event, watching them dance, or proudly enjoying one of their plays, each grandchild held a special place in her heart. Debbie also loved tending to her garden, watching it grow, and sharing its bounty with those around her. Even when life became difficult, Debbie continued to offer others a smile, a kind word, a kiss, or a hug. She had a servant's heart and made the effort to be there for the people she loved, even when doing so was not easy. Above all, Debbie loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was the foundation of her life and could be seen in her devotion to family and the love she gave so freely. Although her family will miss her more than words can express, they find comfort in knowing that her suffering has ended and she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. Debbie is survived by her children, Shannon and Brad Stevenson, Justin and Ansley Rhodes, and Evin and Amber Rhodes; her beloved grandchildren, Maddox, Paisley, Cole, Tripp, Jep, Kellan, Tucker, Sawyer, and Cooper; her sisters, Nicci Millians and Robin Cunard; her brothers, Chris Napty and Ronny Norman; and their beloved Doris Napty, who was a second mother to Debbie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Shirley Napty, and her brother, Ronnie. Debbie leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, selfless love, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished as a daughter, mother, sister, cousin, friend, and the precious Sitty her grandchildren adored. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan.
