Keith Rhodes

Douglas Keith Rhodes passed away peacefully on May 9th at the age of 70. He was born on July 30, 1955, in Columbus, Mississippi, grew up in Moulton, Alabama and Newnan, Georgia, and lived out his life in Sharpsburg, Georgia. Keith was a man whose joy, humor, faith, and servant's heart left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, John Lafayette Rhodes and Lucy Margaret Thornton Rhodes, as well as his brothers Joe Rhodes and Ray Rhodes. He is survived by his brother, Mark Rhodes, and niece Leigh Ann Rhodes. More than anything, Keith was devoted to his family. He leaves behind his children, Shannon and Brad Stevenson, Justin and Ansley Rhodes, and Evin and Amber Rhodes. He was a proud and loving "Papa" to his grandchildren: Maddox, Paisley, Cole, Tripp, Jep, and Kellan. Just one week before his passing, Keith joyfully gained three more grandsons, Tucker, Sawyer, and Cooper, whom he immediately welcomed and loved as his own. His grandchildren brought him endless pride, joy, and laughter. Keith dedicated 31 years of service to Delta Air Lines, where he built lifelong friendships and earned the respect of those around him through his work ethic and steady presence. Outside of work, he could often be found serving faithfully at First Baptist Church of Senoia, working on his motorcycles, tending to his garden, or troubleshooting just about anything that needed fixing. If something was broken, Keith would figure it out. He was known for his joyful spirit, his random sense of humor, his unforgettable dad jokes, and his deep love for people. Hard of hearing but never hard to love, Keith had a gift for making others laugh and feel welcome. He valued lifelong friendships deeply, often reminding those close to him with his favorite saying, "you ain't wuffa." Above all else, Keith loved Jesus. His faith was evident in the way he lived, served, encouraged others, and loved his family. His life was a reflection of kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to Christ. Though deeply missed, Keith's family finds peace knowing he is now fully healed and at home with his Savior. The celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at First Baptist Church of Senoia, with Rev. BJ Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Keith's memory to the Youth and Children's Ministry at First Baptist Church of Senoia.
