Gregory Daher Mansour

Gregory Daher Mansour, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on February 23, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 31, 1950, in Newnan, Georgia, Gregory was the fourth of six children born to Marguerite and Taft Mansour. Raised in a close-knit family and community, he carried the values of faith, hard work, and generosity with him throughout his life. Gregory graduated from Newnan High School and went on to build a life defined by initiative, creativity, and service. On March 31, 1973, he married the love of his life, Jill Corbett. Together they built a strong and devoted marriage and raised three children-Ashlee, Brian and Ben/Mina(Jen) of Williamsburg, Virginia-who were the pride and joy of his life. A true entrepreneur at heart, Gregory was a merchant, developer, and licensed building contractor. He had a natural curiosity and inventive spirit that led him to become an amateur inventor. Partnering with a friend, he launched his own company built around one of his creations-a barrel cooler designed for display in convenience stores. His ingenuity, work ethic, and willingness to take risks reflected his independent and determined nature. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gregory was deeply committed to serving others. As a volunteer fireman, he stood ready at any hour to help those in need, embodying quiet courage and selflessness. He was also a lifelong member of St. George Catholic Church in Newnan, where his faith remained a steady foundation throughout his life. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan. A Rosary service will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Marguerite and Taft Mansour; his sister, Connie Flanagan; and his sister, Renee McGraw. He is survived by his devoted wife of more than five decades, Jill Mansour; his daughter, Ashlee of St. Mary's, Georgia; his son, Brian of Newnan, Georgia, and Ben/Mina (Jen) of Williamsburg, Virginia; his grandchildren, Alex Mansour, Define Mansour, and Richard Mansour; his sister, Joy Barranco of Winter Haven, Florida; his brother, Taft Mansour, Jr. (Diana) of LaGrange, Georgia; his sister, Donna Loken (Keith) of Bellingham, Washington; his brothers-in-law, Bob Flanagan of Newnan and Mike McGraw of Newnan, Georgia; along with several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family who will cherish his memory. Gregory will be remembered for his strength, his inventiveness, his steadfast faith, and his readiness to lend a helping hand. His legacy lives on in the family he loved deeply and the community he served faithfully. We will all miss his big smile that was always warm and welcoming.
