Hubert Lee Combs, Sr.

Mr. Hubert "Lee" Combs Sr., 67, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home in Newnan, Ga. Born August 8, 1957, in Barnesville, Georgia, to the late Robert Combs and Evelyn Barber Combs. In addition to His parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Becky Combs, Marcia McLendon, Robbie Strickland, and Brother William Combs. Lee Combs was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. For the last 28 years, he was an owner-operator truck driver for Premier Transportation, but what defined him most was his love for his family. He was a member of Welcome Road Baptist Church. He loved old cars, fishing, and spending time with his family. He had a heart of gold; it was such a gift if you ever got to know him. The Funeral will be held at McKoon Funeral Home (38 Jackson St., Newnan, Ga 30263) on May 9, 2025, at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be May 8, 2025, 6:00-8:00 pm. Pastor Jarmaine Elder and Pastor Dan Odom will be officiating the funeral. Burial will follow at Rotherwood Methodist Church Cemetery (1701 GA-5 Whitesburg GA. ) Rev.
