Kendall Whitley Turnipseed

Mrs. Kendall Whitley Turnipseed of Newnan, Georgia, returned home into the loving arms of her father in Heaven on August 17, 2022. The oldest of five children, Kendall was born in Columbus, Georgia on July 14, 1981, to Tommy Whitley and the late Pamela Bryant. Her early years were spent living in Columbus and Newnan, Georgia, where she made many dear friends and wonderful memories. While attending Newnan High School, Kendall participated in many activities including Color Guard, Chorus, and the Senior Play. Her classmates fondly remember her contagious smile, friendly demeanor and her fun, silly spirit. After graduating from Newnan High School in 1999, Kendall pursued her education and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology with a minor in Political Science from the University of West Georgia and a specialized degree in Paralegal Studies from Purdue University Global. Kendall went on to use her degrees at the Coweta County Juvenile Court where she spent the last 18 wonderful years with her work family. She brought into this world one beautiful, adoring son, William Austin Ward, who blessed her life with boundless joy and unconditional love. Kendall never missed an opportunity to ensure that Austin knew of her love for him. Their bond was the greatest example of purest love, unconditional and true. Kendall married Keith Turnipseed on April 24, 2021 in Newnan, Georgia. By her own admission, their marriage and ensuing life together was everything that she hoped and prayed for. Kendall and Keith enjoyed many memories together and always enjoyed going on weekend get-aways to the mountains. During her adult life, Kendall lived in Newnan, Georgia, where she met many friends. Everywhere she went, her radiant smile and loving personality shined through. She touched people's lives for the better with not only her amazing dance moves but her infectious laugh and constant positive attitude. Kendall quickly became a role model for so many and she never passed up an opportunity to give a hug. Kendall was a member of Change Church and served on several committees. She was heavily involved with the Ladies' Ministry group, and served as committee head of the Christmas Shoe Box program and the Back Pack Ministry. To Kendall, the Change Church was a place that people could gather, provide encouragement, support and service. To The Change Church, Kendall was the truest example of that. Kendall is survived by her husband, Keith Turnipseed; her son, William "Austin" Ward; her father, Donald A. Bryant; her daddy and step-mother, Tommy and Laura Whitley of Newnan, Georgia; Cannon and Sandra Turnipseed of Newnan, Georgia, step-children; Brothers and Sister: Scott Whitley of Newnan, Georgia; Josh Whitley (Ciara) of Newnan, Georgia; Beth Vickery (Daniel) of Newnan, Georgia; Bo White of Newnan, Georgia; Grandmother, Grace Whitley of Columbus, Georgia; Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Kendall was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Pamela Bryant; Grandfathers, William Bud Thrower, James "Doc" Bryant and Marvin Whitley; Grandmothers: Frances "Mer" Bryant and Vernell Thrower - all who loved her dearly and were waiting on the other side to embrace her and welcome her home. The family will greet friends Sunday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street in Newnan.
