Maxine Patricia Hart

Maxine Patricia Hale Hart, 93, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away on July 27, 2026. Maxine was born on January 20, 1933, to George Glenn Hale and Ruby May Woodall Hale in Jefferson, Georgia. She is predeceased by her husband, Roxie Ray Hart; her parents; her granddaughter, Courtney Patricia Wilson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ferrell (Elizabeth) Hale, Travis (Jean) Hale; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise (Nay) Duke, Frances (Bill) Foster, Betty (C.W.) Archer, Linda (Marvin) Hall, and brother-in-law, J.W. Arnold. Maxine lost her mother at the early age of 8 years old, and through the experience of siblings helping to raise one another, counted her brothers and sisters as her very best friends. They were often found spending time together, talking on the phone for hours, cutting up and laughing about old times. Maxine graduated from Jefferson High School and attended college at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. At Bob Jones, Maxine met Roxie, and they were married in 1951. Roxie served in the United States Army, and they traveled both the United States and Europe extensively during his career. Wherever they were stationed and later in retirement, Maxine and Roxie could be found devoting time and energy to their church and their children. They celebrated 55 years of marriage before his death in 2006. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Hart Wilson (James), son, Russell Ray Hart (Ashley), and sister, Charlotte Arnold. Maxine's grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought endless joy to her life. They are Candice Wilson Stephens (Dallas), Cayla Wilson Moon (Taylor), Ansley Hart Griner (Braden), Avery Hart Jarrard (Ben), John Reid McBrier (Brittany), and Ryanne Hart Powder (Yannick). Great-grandchildren are Brylee Grace Stephens, Hartley Rae Moon, Brayden Phillip Stephens, Kasen James Moon, Carter Holmes Griner, Barrett Ray Griner, Bristol Ellis McBrier, and Bennett Scott McBrier. Maxine is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Maxine's wonderful life will be recalled and celebrated by her family and friends in a graveside service to be held on Friday, July 31st, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3000 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, Georgia (entrance across from Rehoboth Baptist Church).
