Nora Camielle Flynn

Nora C. Harbin Flynn, 56 of Fayetteville, GA passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Nora was born January 5, 1965, in Flint, Michigan to the late Carl Newton Harbin & Nora Alice Smith Harbin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Harbin. Nora grew up in Michigan, home of the Wolverines, the best coney dogs, and the prettiest Great Lakes you've ever seen (as she would say). She was the baby in a large family of nine children. As a child she was vibrant and curious. She loved challenging herself in school and was gifted academically. A few of her beloved hobbies growing up included competing in sports like cheer and skating. Her most notable passion was her love for music. Nora enjoyed both singing and dancing to all genres of music. She referred to cranking up the volume and initiating a dance party, music therapy! Her favorite song was never the same on any given day, it always depended on her mood. This trait, a beautiful gift she has passed down to two generations and counting.... Shortly after completing high school, Albert and Nora wed and quickly brought 3 beautiful children into the world. Being a dedicated mother is what she most treasured and valued in this world. "Being a mom is the greatest gift," as she would proudly say often, and then thank the Lord for her blessings in the next breath. Her love for the Lord was her strength and her endless love for her family, unmatched. A few years after becoming a mom for the final time, she was ready to further her education, and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1994 with her bachelor's in psychology. Nora did amazing work in many different fields over the years but found a devotion for the legal field and excelled in her career as a paralegal for almost 20 years. Throughout those years she helped countless families and individuals with real life needs and made many lasting friendships because of her service to others. Nora had a servant's heart! Her selflessness made her ears the easiest to speak to and her words the most comforting to listen to. To know her was to love her, and she will be undeniably missed here on this earth. But rejoice because we WILL see her again. A memorial service will be held for Nora at 6:00 pm Friday, October 1, 2021, in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Hosmer officiating.
