Pamela Edna Gray (Shepherd) 1944-2024 It is with heavy hearts that we celebrate the life of Ms. Pamela Edna Gray of Sharpsburg, Georgia, on Friday, December 20, 2024. Formerly of Oberlin, Ohio, by way of Boston, Massachusetts, Pam's life journey began on September 21, 1944, in Augusta, Maine, to the late Samuel Matthew Shepherd and Elizabeth Ward Galloway. Pamela was a proud and resourceful woman forged by grit, love, and self-determination. Her salt of the earth perspectives, modeled by her father, who served in the Armed Forces during World War II, guided her decisions throughout her life. Pam worked at AT&T in Cleveland, Ohio in operations which gave her the security to raise her family. After retiring she was fond of travel and became a flight attendant for Continental Airlines/United. An avid reader, she found solace and excitement within the pages of countless novels and hardcovers. As a devoted, single mother to her three sons, Pamela's stewardship and tough love steered them into the men they are today. She was their greatest champion and a constant source of advice and wisdom. She cherished her grandchildren who enriched her life with warmth, laughter, and stories of their accomplishments. Pamela had a lifelong connection with her siblings and she took immense pride in her family and was the "Big Sis" bestowed with big responsibilities after their mother passed. Recently her sisters, close friends from Boston and Newnan, GA surprised her with an 80th birthday celebration to show their support and love for Pam. She thought it was the "best birthday ever"! She was a faithful member of Cliftondale United Methodist Church and was part of a few ministries such as Senior Express and United Women of Faith and a community organization called One Roof. She touched the lives of many and will remain a constant light within our hearts. Pam is survived by her three sons, Timothy, Mark, and Brian. also survived by her sisters, Leslee Shepherd, Deirdre Hood, and Angela Shepherd. Wives, husbands, sons, daughters, grandkids, nieces, nephews, and cousins include; Keri Shepherd (Tim); their children Janaye and Zion. Elisa Shepherd (Mark); their children, Whitney, Cameron, and Elizabeth. Bridgett Jones (Brian); their children, Justice, Jordan, and Jackson. Leslee Shepherd and her children Steven Marshall (Sarita); their child Tylor. Deborah Scott (Lorenzo); their child Kayla. Altruist Marshall-deceased (Chrystal); their children, Tannia, Altruist II and London. Deirdre Hood (Karl-deceased) and their children Toni Minter (Ronald); their children Dasha and R'mani. Paul Hood (Leslie); their children A'mir and Victoria. Eric Hood (Keisa); their children Erica, Kris, Rhianna and Gabby.
