Robert Francis Bourque

Robert Francis “Bob” Bourque,76, of Newnan, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at his residence. Born January 13, 1941, in Lynn, Massachusetts he was a son of the late Joseph Alford Bourque and Sara Lena Melanson Bourque. Mr. Bourque was preceded in death by brothers, Father Leo Bourque, SSS, Brother John Bourque, Alford “Al” Bourque, Rene` Bourque and Roland Bourque; and sisters, Loretta Napierski, Marie Moran, and Jeanette Neary. Bob lived In Lynn, Massachusetts until graduating from Saint John the Baptiste High School in 1961. He attended and graduated from East Coast Aero Tech and then immediately entered the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Lakeland Air Force Base and Charleston Air Force Base. He completed one tour of duty in Vietnam and returned home in 1966. Mr. Bourque was employed by Delta Airlines and retired in 1994 and for the past twelve years had been employed by Auto Color and Finish Masters as an independent delivery driver. He was ill for a very short time and died seven days after being diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. He was a loving and faithful husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed. A memorial mass will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 3 Village Road, Newnan, GA 30265, with Father Terry Crone officiating. For online condolences please visit www.mckoon.com. Mr. Bourque met his wife of fifty-two years, Roberta O’Malley in 1963 in Charleston, South Carolina. They married in June of 1965. Surviving in addition to his wife are his oldest brother, Joseph Alford Bourque, age ninety; sons, Robert Francis Bourque Jr. and wife Christine; Patrick David Bourque and wife Lisa; Scott Anthony Bourque and fiancé Joy Rolader; Christopher Joseph Bourque and wife Tanya; and a daughter Brenda Claire Bourque Wiseman; thirteen grandchildren, Jessica Bourque, Michael Bourque, Sydney Bourque, Sami Bourque, Ryan Bourque, Jake Bourque, Mali Bourque, Lili Bourque, Emily Bourque, Jolie Wiseman, Joseph Bourque, Daniel Wiseman, and Ian Bourque; and one great-grandchild, Dré Vasser.
